What is it and how does it work?
A laser beam is passed over the entire face using two separate lasers.
Does it hurt?
There may be a slight burning sensation but this is kept to a minimum by preparing the skin prior to treatment with topical anaesthetic creams.
Are there any side effects?
Some sun tan marks may darken and there may be a little redness which will soon fade. You will be advised on the potential outcome at your initial consultation.
How long does the treatment take?
Each session may take up to 2 hours.
How long will the effects of the treatment last?
It is recommended to have a course of 6 treatments at intervals of 2 weeks. Sun damage will be cleared following 3-6 treatments and wrinkles will gradually lessen with each treatment giving an overall smoother and younger looking skin. Evidence shows that the improvement continues for up to a year after the last treatment.
What aftercare will I need?
The area(s) treated must not be exposed to sun or any heat treatments for at least two days after treatment.
