What is it and how does it work?
An ultra-fine spray of sterile micro-particles such as medical grade fine aluminium oxide, diamond or salt crystals are used to exfoliate dead skin cells and smooth the surface of the skin. The results can be seen immediately.
Does it hurt?
Medical Microdermabrasion is completely painless. There may be a slight scratchy feeling similar to when using other exfoliating products.
Are there any side effects?
There may be a little short-term redness at the site of the treated area.
How long does the treatment take?
The whole procedure is usually completed within thirty minutes. Some treatments may take longer depending on the skin condition. A course of treatments is usually recommended for longer lasting results.
How long will the effects of the treatment last?
After the initial course, you may wish to have some additional top up treatments.
What aftercare will I need?
It is advisable to avoid direct exposure to sunlight after skin treatments for a few days after your procedure or to use an effective sunscreen SPF 30. It is recommended to cover up the treated area, and to refrain from smoking.
