Cherry Red Bumps

Why live with these little irritating bumps if you can do without? Cherry red bumps are a benign skin growth that appears as a small, smooth bright red lump and poses no threat to your health.

However, chances are you would prefer it if they were not there at all and now you have the option to consign them to history.

See the results for yourself!

What is it and how does it work?

A laser beam is passed through the surface of the skin to reach the blood vessels in the lesion causing them to collapse and later dissolve within the body.

Does it hurt?

There may be a slight burning sensation but this is kept to a minimum by preparing the skin prior to treatment with topical anaesthetic creams.

Are there any side effects?

The tissue may appear a little paler immediately following laser application but after approximately a week the area turns black and falls off as a scab.

How long does the treatment take?

Depending on the area(s) to be treated, each session may take up to an hour.

How long will the effects of the treatment last?

The bump should be completely eradicted following one treatment. In some instances, multiple treatments may be required at 4 to 6 week intervals but you will be advised on the potential outcome at your initial consultation.

What aftercare will I need?

The area(s) treated must not be exposed to sun or any heat treatments for at least two days after treatment and an effective SPF30 should be applied.
